On occasion, I hear people say their situation is so different from everybody else’s situation that nobody could possibly understand; this is a harmful attitude. All of us, no matter what our situation, can learn from anybody who is willing to share. Sometimes, it is possible to learn from people who are not willing to share. However, to learn we have must clear our minds of negative thoughts, and listen. Hearing is not enough, we actually have to listen.

Even after brain surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments to eradicate his brain cancer, Scott continued to work; continued to study; and earned professional certifications from the Project Management Institute, American Society of Quality, and Stanford University School of Professional Development. How were all of these achievements possible at a time when Scott was struggling with the hurdles of brain injury? The answers are in this blog.
