As I previously mentioned, I don’t watch, read, or listen to the news very often because reports of the things some people do to others is simply disappointing. When Sharon Chrysta Mashburn shared a post with a similar theme, I noticed the following linked video. I simply cannot understand why the people mentioned in the video thought their actions were acceptable. Since some people who experience adversity are ridiculed, I chose to write a post about fighting back in a non-violent way.
- If you were the parents of the child in the video, how would you react?
- If you were the child in the video, how would you react?
- If you were an executive or board member of the childcare center, how would you react?
- If you were the Social Services employee responsible for investigating the event, what would you do?
Thanks to Sharon Chrysta Mashburn for sharing a video that lead to my finding the video I used in this post, Facebook for helping the story spread, CNN for recognizing the importance of the story, the Jordan family for sharing their story, Heavenly Haven Childcare for enforcing their zero tolerance policy, and the Virginia Department of Social Services for investigating the events.
